ShelfWorth

Privacy policy

Effective 15 October 2026

The short version

ShelfWorth keeps your library so it's there on every device. We don't sell data.

Your account

The app creates an account for you automatically, with no email needed. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user ID and, if you share it, your name and email, so you can restore your library on a new phone.

Your library

We store the books you add, your shelves, reading sessions, lendings (including the borrower names you type) and your profile settings on our servers.

The camera is used only to scan barcodes; images are not sent to us.

Book data and prices

To fill in book details and values we look up ISBNs with book data and pricing providers. Only the ISBN is sent, never anything about you.

Analytics, crashes and notifications

Google Firebase Analytics counts how features are used and Firebase Crashlytics sends crash reports. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging stores a push token for reminders.

Purchases

Purchases go through the App Store and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your data

Email [email protected] and we'll delete your account and library.

Changes and contact

We'll update the date above when this policy changes. Questions: [email protected].
